Messages

W@Y uses it's own, internal, web-based messaging system. It does not use any
of services such as SMS or similar to distribute messages between users, but
web service which is completely free and closed for W@Y users only.

Private messages can be exchanged only between related W@Y users, that are
connected within a group. W@Y user can send a group message only to a group
he is member of. No any kind of SPAM-ing or unwanted messaging can be performed
without autohirization and group membership acceptance.

You can send (or receive from) messages to your friends or complete groups.
W@Y will send you notifications also in form of messages. Some messages, which
require some actions, will allow you to pick a decision beside just reading them.

There are five types of messages, all explained below:

To access messaging activity, choose W@Y main menu and then "Messages".

When you receive messages from users, groups or W@Y service, W@Y will notify
you on a main screen, and also in your device's status bar in case you are
doing something else at the moment. Touch the notification on main screen or inside
notification bar to open messages activity.

Messages activity contains two panels. The first shows only new, unread messages, while
the other shows all messages. In "All Messages" list, you can also see a status of every
single message, which is read or unread for standard and notifications, while it can be
"Pending" for invitations and join requests - meaning that you should take some action
related to that specific message.

Touch a message to read it. Touch reply to reply, delete to delete a message. You
can "force" unread message to be marked as read and vice versa. A message will
be marked as read automatically when you open it.

Select one or more messages to perform multi-message actions, such as deleting more than
one message or marking more unimportant messages as read:

To send a message from messaging activity, use menu and then "Send Message". Enter recipients
(W@Y usernames) or select them touching "Recipients..." button. From user search activity,
select one or more people to send message to. Group message must be sent from "Membership"
activity (image 2).

System notification, join request and invitation messages have appropriate buttons in reading
activity, which allow you to respond properly. To respond to an invitation (to join a group), use
either Accept or Ignore button. To approve someone who wants to join your closed group, use
Approve - or Reject if you do not want to let user join your group. Users are immediately notified
about decisions through system notifications.
